How WordPress Hosting works

Answers to frequently asked questions

WordPress Hosting is the new hosting plan of Digimouse. A free .GR domain name is provided for the first two years as well as free support and upgrades for the first year of hosting.

After the first year of hosting you will be charged only for hosting and – optionally – for upgrades and support. The .COM domain name renewal fee will be charged after the first year and every year thereafter.

Payment of the first invoice must be made within 15 days of your order. Plenty of time to test WordPress Hosting.

Upon completion of the WordPress Hosting order, the domain name is immediately registered or transferred, your server is configured (with the features you see below) and WordPress is installed with all the necessary tools (see below).

The site will be available when the DNS files are updated so that the Internet knows that your site is hosted by Digimouse. This process can take several hours.

Tasks from Digimouse

Digimouse, immediately after installation, will perform the following tasks:

  • Create a subdomain (eg like demo.mydomain.com) where your demo site will be developed
  • The main page(www.mydomain.com) will display the Coming Soon message (with a choice of many different ways)
  • In the demo environment the final theme will be selected in consultation with the client.
  • All necessary configurations will be made.
  • The Home page will be designed.
  • 5 subpages will be designed (e.g. Profile, Contact, etc.).
  • The products will be imported to the Eshop (if eshop is needed) from an Excel file provided by the customer.
  • The Eshop will be linked to the Facebook company page (if there is one) so that the products can be synchronized.
  • The necessary configuration for SEO will be made.
  • We will provide training via Zoom.
  • When the site is finally ready at demo.mydomain.com, it will be transferred to www.mydomain.com.
  • Google will be asked to index your pages and display them in the search results.

Within 15 days you will have the opportunity to see in practice the capabilities of WordPress Hosting.

  • Upon payment of the order (€700,oo) the customer receives free hosting (Standard plan), support and upgrades for one year, free .COM domain name for one year.
  • After the first year the hosting fee is €144,oo per year in the Standard plan.
  • After the first year, you will be charged for the renewal of the domain name.
  • If the customer does not pay the order within 15 days, the hosting account will be deactivated and the site will be taken down. The customer in the case of withdrawal is charged only the cost of the registration of the domain name, which will remain in his ownership for this period.
